This is five-star hotel, originally the home of William Avery Rockefeller, is located in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. Two-and-a-half hours away from the hustle and bustle of city life, The Point offers unbeatable seclusion and luxury. Reservations are required, as there are only 11 guestrooms on the property. Each unique room is equipped with a lake view, a cozy sitting area with a stone fireplace, and handmade, rustic furniture. The all-inclusive nightly rates include meals, unlimited wine and liquor and unrestricted use of all sporting facilities, which vary according to season. Guests enjoy activities such as water-skiing, boating, fishing, and a complimentary round of golf at a nearby PGA course. All meals are planned in advance in accordance with each guest’s dietary needs and preferences. Dinner, which is a formal affair, takes place in the Great Hall with the other guests. As of 2010, nightly rates range from $1,350 to $2,600 depending on the room you decide to book. If you are planning a destination wedding and would like your friends and family to join you at The Point, the entire property can be reserved at a rate of $26,062 per night.
